Translating "小海", acupuncture point SI-8

The reasoning for translating "小海" as "Little Sea" from Chinese into English. This is the original name of acupuncture point SI-8 (Small Intestine 8).

小海
Little Sea  (SI-8)
小: Small
海: Sea

Explanation of the point name

Both HT-3 少海 and this point SI-8 小海 have a name about a sea that is small, with HT-3 being the smallest. They are both situated on the inner side of the elbow, and both meridians start or end on the pinky finger, the smallest finger.

The reason for their 'sea' names could be the kind of surface of the skin, as with points with 'pond' in the name, or that they're both He-Sea points. Since the surfaces aren't depressions that are much larger than that of 'pond' points, that doesn't seem likely. And since there's no indication what kind of sea they are, as with the Sea of Qi or the Sea of Blood, their being called 'seas' has most likely to do with them being He-Sea points.

Let's see whether the indicated size could be coming from the location of the meridians. Shou Shao Yin 手少陰, Least Yin of the Hand, for the Heart meridian, would then provide the 少 for HT-3. But then, the Small Intestine meridian is Shou Tai Yang 手太陽, Most Yang of the Hand, so that a 太 would be in line with that reasoning. That is not the case, so this is probably not correct.

That leaves the being pinky finger meridians for the size, the smallest finger. With the Heart meridian being the shortest then results in the Smallest Sea, and the longer Small Intestine meridian in a Little Sea.
